30fps lock on OW (Aorus X5 V6)

K352

As I was playing overwatch on my new Aorus x7 v6 (1620p 60Hz model) I was steadily playing overwatch at 60/59 fps (locked by me) and one game it suddenly went to a 30fps limit in my competitive game so i proceed to press the overclock for fear it was bottle neck (Maxed out all OC and fan speeds) but still no gain in fps. Any idea how to remove this?

Are you sure the in-game limit didn't drop? Competitive settings might be separate from regular

I doubt it is bottlenecked, people need to stop using this term for every performance issue they ever have.

Check your Windows-set refresh rate (Right click on desktop > personalize > select the monitor > advanced display settings > display adapter properties > Monitor > screen refresh rate).

Check your in game settings; particularly this one.

See if global Gsync or Vsync is enabled and turn it off.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

It is on but a few min ago it was working just fine (G-Sync at 1620p with 60fps no problem)

Make sure u are not on battery. Most laptops on battery lock discrete graphics to 30Hz. Check that your power brick is connected properly
