so I cant seem to find what I want, which is a 3.5mm male to female adapter that I can screw on to my desk, after drilling a hole. is there such a thing?

They make extension cables (I have two, each has a coiled wire) that would be pretty easy to attach to a desk. You could use some kind of glue.
