OP, wait for Ryzen or go Z270. 7700K + that G Skill kit and a decent board (personal recommendation is the MSI Gaming M5) Maybe a 1080 alongside that? You'd kick ass at 1440p. Posted January 26, 2017 I would wait for Ryzen and get that or x99. Since your monitor is freesync, i wouldn't recommend getting the 1070 or the 1080. The 390x is stil very capable. Wait for Vega.
