I just finished my final PC. my one all end all till about the next 7 years or more.

I want a good Monitor to go with it, but I need help finding it. This monitor is elusive and ever so hidden that only the chosen one can find it.

 

1440p or full 4K with +100Hz, IPS and has a display port, and curved. (Freesync preferred since I'm hyping myself up for the VEGA release)

 

Its the ultimate struggle. I've been looking online for the past 4 months to see whats available, so far I found a couple close matches but they end in 60Hz, or 1080p. if i'm going to end up paying 400$ for 1, I might well atleast dishout the 800 for something twice as good.

Anyway, for the monitor bit, ASUS MG279Q is like one of the better/best 1440p 144hz ips freesync monitors :D

There is no exact budget. Anything goes, multiple recommendations open up a wide selection between price and practicality

That actually fits nicely but the issue I have with it is the cost comes to nearly more than the cost of the PC alone :S

Linus did a review of a 1440p curved ultrawide with 100hz that was like $700. Check the videos recently.

any recommendations for a decent ips 21:9 monitor for less then 800 aud

iv been looking for a while but havnt realy found anything that looked like it would be perfect for me

I cant tell if it's IPS. IPS, DisplayPort, Curved 4K, or 1440p+ is what I'm trying to find. I might buy something cheaper, like a flatpanel with IPS+Display+4K/1440p instead, things might get cheaper or become available in the next 6 months

You also said 100Hz+.... There is no such IPS display, only AH-IPS which is NOT IPS but kind of VA. This monitor I posted is VA.

I find it difficult to know whats what sometimes because marketers arent using precise information as often as they should, considering the quantity of monitors I've been sifting through.

75Hz for IPS is whats currently achievable most of the time.

Thats not IPS.. it is AH-IPS which is different. They just market it as IPS.

IPS belongs to LG. AH-IPS is made by AUO which is also on those 165Hz G-Sync monitors from ASUS, Acer, ViewSonic, AOC, ..

 

 

This is probably the best 75Hz IPS monitor out there... (not intended for competetive gaming due to higher input lag).
