Looking to start a club

Hello World!

I am a high school CS student who is looking to learn to write android apps. I'm fairly new at programming, but I can get by. I am looking for someone, or a group of people who I can turn to to help with code. I was thinking it'd be cool to start a discord or something like that as a cool hangout spot for like-minded people, new or experienced. If you are interested, reply to this and if there's a decent amount of people I'll start a discord server for us all to hang out in.

you using android studio? talk to me once you get to the more difficult Java and SQLite stuff - i think @deXxterlab97 or @ARikozuM have more experince with developing android apps in android studio than i do, i use telerik for developing android apps

I am using android studio. So far I'm liking it, but I'm fairly new at programming in general which is why I was hoping to start a discord so a bunch of people can join and we can all contribute what we know to each other.

i have basically no experience with android studio as my company doesn't use it, but i can help you with other parts - but i would strongly suggest learning visual basic or javascript before jumping into GUI, DB, and interactivity at the same time

Haha, I haven't programmed in nearly 9 years. I'm afraid I've forgotten everything except batch script (since I love me some text-based adventure games). 

 

Edit: Thanks for the mention, though. I'll probably try getting back into programming soon as the programming sub-forum needs frequent help.

oh no, not batch, i was the victim of some very irresponsible "pranks" like when my friends at uni put on a delayed batch file that put pornhub up on the screen while i was presenting in front of 100 plus people - fml

I did that, but with a certain Rick Astley song or "You're tearing me apart, Lisa!".
