Laptop Repair Cost/Troubleshooting

I have an old laptop and the display has been recently been glitching out and the right side of the screen suddenly turns black or it started showing random colors. I really have no idea what could be causing this since its pretty old and I was planning on getting a new one sometime this year but I definitely  can't get one right now and I just want to how much it would be to repair it and just want to know if it would be worth it. By the way I would prefer the price in USD.

probably a bad screen or cable. Your thing 50+ in parts, and for the service 150+

What laptop. Probably just get a new one.

Its a 2-3 year old hp pavilion laptop. Its probably not even worth it :(

well it might just be that the cable has gotten a bit loose. So you could open it up and check on the cable. (this is rare, but you might be lucky)

Does it do these things on a external screen?

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...
