Potential new monitor

Randomly browsing local listings and I've stumbled onto an ASUS ML24 (according to listing. Can be either ML248 or ML249), a Full HD 24" VA display with HDMI (and useless VGA) input for about $80.

My derpy 21.5" AOC is pretty much my only display these days since I had to let my old 22" 1050p go due to the RX480 only having digital outputs. Using a borrowed TV as a secondary, which is pretty annoying and its only use right now is Netflix.

Looking to the overmind for some thought: is it worth buying. Is the VA panel any good (afaik my AOC is TN and it's pretty awkward to calibrate due to its proprietary software and no hardware-based calibration). A decent 24" display with HDMI is about double the price of this one (new) and this is pretty much the cheapest one I've seen that matches the specs (I've only seen a couple other displays under $100).

The display comes with its original packaging, cables, manual. Pretty much everything. Someone must have pawned it while it was still fairly new.

The alternatives would be:

a. buying another HDMI to VGA converter and using the old crapshot 1050p monitor again

b. keep using the derpy TV for a bit until I have to give it back
