Hey everyone! I have been looking through the interwebs and I do have a build ready, but I`m wondering what would suffice as the minimum for my needs. What is the cheapest build that can meet my needs? I want to run Just Cause 3, CIV VI, Rocket League, CSGO, Need For Speed, Elder Scrolls V, BeamNG Drive and Battlefield 1 to name a few all at high/very high/highest possible settings 1080p 60fps, and minecraft with highest shaders, highest settings, 60fps 1080p.

Depends. What's your budget?

Cheapest possible. My biggest focus is Just Cause 3 and other triple a games running at a smooth 30-60 fps 1080p.

Not how it works. It's easier if you just say how much you're looking to spend rather than a vague "cheap as possible".

If you need a number, around 400 would be ideal, but the purpose of this thread is to find out whether 400 would be good enough for my purposes.

Not quite.

Used? Maybe 430w S12II to cut costs more?

I want it to work for triple a and keep working for years to come, I would hate for a psu to wreck it.

$400 isn't going to cut it. I have a build right at $410 with an Inwin case/PSU combo on the belief that Inwin PSUs aren't total shit, but a Pentium G4560 and a 1050 Ti are not AAA for years to come caliber. You'd need to be looking at an i5 + RX 480/GTX 1060 combo for that to happen at 1080p, and those start to push $700.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

My budget is actually closer to 500-600 range but I don't know if that's nessicary. A 1050 and an i3 6100 was what I was considering but I wanted to know what other people thought.

Tbh I would get the new pentium with hyperthreading and drop a better cpu in later on down the road.

There are certainly better PSUs on the market, but I have two of that exact EVGA model and haven't been let down by them yet.

If you wait a couple of weeks, you can grab a Pentium G4560 that's within 10% of the i3's performance but costs $40+ less. You might need a Skylake CPU to update the motherboard's BIOS to accept the Kaby CPU, though.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

1. That PSU is junk

2. A RX470 performs a lot lot better than a 1050ti while only costing a little more

3. Maybe a cheaper case? I mean all it does is hold your parts...

Better PSU suggestion?

Will change to 470

Your right on the case but I still want it to look nice. Will look at different ones.
