Hi guys, just new to hardline tubing, but was wondering if you could tell me does the tube and fitting have to be exactly straight like 90 degrees and totally pushed in or can it be like slightly angled but most of the way in and sealed by two washers (bitspower 16mm hardline fittings)

They can be skewed slightly since the orings can compensate but really should be straight in without too much of an angle.

depends on the fittings, some are more forgiving than others.  My xspc fittings are pretty forgiving since they've got 3 orings per fitting.  I tried some Monsoon Hardline Economy v1 fittings and there was almost NO wiggle room with their single o-ring.  If the pipe had just a couple degrees of angle to it, it would leak.  I ended up removing them all from my build after air testing for leaks and finding that any of them would leak if the tubes were moved at all by hand.  Picking up the case did the same thing, it'd hold pressure and then leak out as soon as the case flexed a bit.

Regardless you should try and get them as straight as possible, even if it means redoing a "pretty good" bend :D

I like the Monsoon Hardline with the glue-in locking collar.

interesting design, i ended up going bitspower 16mm new generation compression ones

When picking tubing make sure you go with proper size system. You can not use two different systems with fittings & tubing.

For Example:

MonSoon - Imperial

Bitspower - Metric

Current Build: Project Frost
Gaming Rig Build: Project Ice Dragon
