When will prices decrease in the discrete GPU market?

Only going to decrease when AMD brings some Competition to the market, right now Nvidia is the only thing in the highend market why would they decrease prices.

I dont like $300, $200 is upper, $150 feels right. Depends though.

 

Right now I got 27" 1080P, but later on I'd go 4K and 27" fits my desk good. I dont quite understand Hz yet for monitors.

If you're on a $200 budget then even thinking about 4k is silly. At that price point you shouldn't see prices shift at all until new cards are released which I doubt will happen soon at the low end, so really an RX 480 is your best bet.

Get a RX 470 4GB. Best choice performance wise and the price is great!

 

4k at the budget you said is unrealistic and probably will be for quite some time..
