How to turn 280° Pictures into one Panorama

Yali

First of all, this is stupid and makes no sense, but i need to know if its possible, and how.

I have 3 pictures taken with a 280° / 8.9mm focal length and someone wants me to "stitch" them together so it becomes one "panorma" picture.

Does that make sense? I dont think it will work but if it does how?

-Y

EDIT: Imagine taking a 8.9mm picure and wanting to correct the natural distortion, so it looks "normal". I'm giving up on this while writing haha..

Well, you could stretch and morph in photoshop or gimp if you're feeling adventurous.

tried that but the max amount of distortion is not enough for the picture haha

Maybe this makes more sense: Trying to get a picure like this to have straight lines. I would be so amazed if this works

maybe then try to apply the max distortion possible in PS and do again distort the image back to normal?

Why didn't you just set up a rail for the shot?

I'll ask my wife when we have dinner tonight. Hopefully I remember to do so.

If we can see what the photo you are trying to "flatten" or make into a "panorama" we might be able to help out.  The photo you posted as an example (the one below) seems to have been taken with a circular fisheye lens, and while it can be flattened out to make the image appear less curved, you will have to crop out most of the edge elements around the photo, only the center area of the image can be made to look a bit more "natural".

well it's taken with the same lens. I was able to talk to my boss and let him know that it makes more sense to just take new pictures.  So thank you for your help!
