How could I go about streaming with 2 PCs? I want to use my main build as my gaming pc because the specs are better and I wanted to use my laptop as the streaming pc. I do have an elgato gaming HD capture card that I could use but that's all I have available to me at the moment.

Laptop (has 500gb SSD as main boot drive) : http://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05201375

You would have next to no performance hit if you used QuickSync or NVENC with OBS.

Yeah I tried it last night and using NVENC seemed to work great. I was streaming at 1080/30fps and I didn't seem to have any performance loss.

Seems like you are running a  MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card which means you can use NVIDIA built in streaming capabilities (Shadowplay) through GeForce Experience. Is so simple to setup and no extra software, also its free. Download and updated the latest drivers for your video card and be sure to install the geforce experience so you can get shadowplay. The setup is so damn simple. http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/share
