PC doesn't show Wifi networks

NickScott

There are three different wifi networks where I am and my desktop usually picks them up. Recently, it has shown none of them and only sometimes do they shows up. Even when they are shown, my PC tries to connect to the one I use and just doesn't. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

What network adapter do you use? USB or PCI-e?

It might be the driver or the unit may be breaking down.

Try connect to the wifi network with a separate device to isolate the issue.

It's pci-e and all my other devices can connect, just not my desktop. How do I update the drivers? I tried updating the wifi adapter on manage devices and it says that it is up to date.

first step of fixing a problem have you turn it on and off?

did you right click the wifi icon and use? the troubleshoot problem?

I have restarted it multiple times and the troubleshoot says that "Hamachi" doesn't have a valid IP config then "not fixed"

I transferred it onto the pc and ran the exe and put it in the SWsetup folder and still no change

I found a good website explaining it. Maybe that will help.

is "Hamachi" the name of your PC?

did you try turning off the modem/router for 10sec then turning it back on?

Hamachi is a program I used to use to connect to a friend's server to play Garry's mod and, I'm in a dorm so I can't access the modem/router

restart pc after uninstall? try the troubleshoot again.

you use this?

https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/purchase.aspx

installed the free version of it and I restarted the computer before and still no networks came up. I ran the troubleshooter again after the install and the same problem came up for hamchi and then it said there may be a problem with the hamachi driver and it says to reset the wireless adapter. How do I reset the adapter?

My computer does not show any wifi networks but does see my phone's hotspot one when I turn it on, but cannot connect to it.  My phone and laptop show the wifi networks around me. My wireless adaptor for the PC is pci-e and the driver is updated, from what the troubleshoot says, I cannot make a wired connection, and I do not have access to the modem/router.
