SLI or to upgrade

So I recently built my first PC (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FqGTFd) but I know every 3-4 years you will at least need to upgrade your GPU. So my question is in 3-4 years would it be better to put in another 1070 and go SLI or would it be better to just buy a GPU?

sli would be better dx 12 and vulkin will help with sli and multicore cpus.

SLI is great for "next gen performance with current gen features." In which case in 3-4 years it'll be "current gen performance with last gen features" at best.

 

Though that depends on how much the landscape will change in that time.
