Triple DVI Monitor Setup

Hello Everyone!,

Can anyone help me with my triple monitor set up?

I am currently running a triple monitor setup using 2x Samsung 2243bw for the edge displays and 1x Benq v2400w for the centre display. I am currently running this setup using a EVGA 1070 Hybrid graphics card (not FTW edition BTW :(). When I run games some problems do occur such as weird skewing between the monitors and the scale on monitors, due to the different sizes and resolutions, leading to all the monitors never lining up with each other. So I think I should buy an additional Samsung 2243bw for the centre display. I was wondering if this was a good idea? And well this forum is OFC the best place to ask that question...

I do realise if I go through with this I would lose the higher resolution as the benq monitor is 1920x1200 (19x10) and the Samsung monitors are 1680x1050 (19x10).

I think I will also buy a triple monitor mount so I can get rid of all these separate monitor mounts.

My question to you guys and girls.... Will there be any problems with running all three DVI only displays off my one graphics card? Would 1x DVI and 2x DisplayPort to DVI connectors work with this set up? Do I need to get a passive or adaptive converter?

Using adapters isn't a problem and they don't need to be active adapters for it to work, that got phased out quite a while back requiring active adapters for surround. If you have a free HDMi you can get a simple HDMI to DVI cable and not require an adapter.

Thanks heaps for the quick response.

So everything should work fine?

#1 - DVI to DVI

#2 - DP to converter to DVI

#3 - HDMI to DVI

Do you think this is a good idea anyway?

This is what my current set up looks like atm, sorry for the bad picture...

Those connections would be good, that doesn't too loo bad, personally I like having my screen heights the same but that's always a bit of a task to mange with different resolutions and sizes, overall that looks very good.

You can see the strange scaling problems between the monitors in the picture in the above reply.

It's more then annoying when your up close to the screens.

Will syncing the monitors fix this problem? *especially using Nvidia surround and bezel correction.
