Hi! my pc been working fine and all, but after a month of vacation i came back trying to update the windows, because there was lot of updates.

when i tried to update it, it just gets stuck on the loading screen and wont download.

after trying many ways of fixing it, i decided to format the damn thing makes it easier.

After formatting the pc, here i am greeted with another infinite loop load...

What do i do? did microsoft stop supporting the win7 already? should i just get win10?

Don't even update it. I have been running W7 for 10 months and it was working great (turned off updates when i installed it).Few days ago i had problems with H1Z1 which asked for windows update, after i updated it fcked up everything and i had to reinstall it which means just don't use updates for old systems.

it's normal, win7 updates now will take a extremely long time to even show up. did a clean install and it took 3 days for the updates to show up. There are some hotfix and work around, but none seem to work.

I'm not goint to read through all these. some people don't get it. There NEVER used to be a problem until W10 started getting dumped and forced on everybody did this stuff start happening. I hate it too.

Vista took me days of jumping through hoops in 2016 ( reformat/hardware updates )

XP pro 64 went smooth as butter. figure that crap out.

W7, nightmare. but you know something, I'll deal with it because I don't desire W10 for what it is.

Pretty much this.  It can't be a coincidence that Win7 and 8.1 started running like crap as soon as Win10 was rolled out.

Can't say I had issues with my Vista install though, and my XP is still running like a champ too.  It's only Win7 and 8.1 that are FUBAR

Visit this website using internet explorer: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx

then search for these 2 updates:

KB3020369

KB3172605

it should work after you install these two updates

  • 2 weeks later...

I used an offline installer for quite a few of the updates. Wouldn't work anymore doing that so I kinda have up. Was gonna re install. Ended up just leaving the pc on like people said. 28 hours later it got all the update and no issues.
