How could you possibly recommend a 760 over a 670?

I personally went with the Asus. It does have the quietest cooler and a backplate. Not to mention it was on sale when I bought it. Beware the Asus sag though.

Pricing. The 670 is $100 more than the 760.

760 offers more new Nvidia features like GPU Boost 2.0. I'd get the Asus 760. Performance in games is almost identical, and you can overclock them easily.

Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 | Intel Core i7 4790k | Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming GT                              Notebook: Dell XPS 13

                 16GB Kingston HyperX Fury | 2x Asus GeForce GTX 680 OC SLI | Corsair H60 2013

           Seasonic Platinum 1050W | 2x Samsung 840 EVO 250GB RAID 0 | WD 1TB & 2TB Green                                 dat 1080p-ness

Not on a good deal. And let's be honest, if you pay full price for a component and it wasn't just launched, you're doing it wrong.

How, they perform the same?

If that's true, then nVidia would be functionally retarded to release the 760Ti
