Best I'd get for this CPU would be the RX 480 8GB / GTX 1060 6GB to prevent bottlenecking.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

Not that much, there will be a noticeable difference but it won't be mindblowing

It REALLY REALLY depends game to game whether it can utilize the CPU enough to feed that new beast GPU.

If your seeing GPU usage variance in more than a few games now while monitoring, the new GPU will likely do the same but worse.

Still performing admirably, but not where it should be in some titles.

In the Division. The Fx9 performs as expected, brilliantly. Compared to flagship popular Intel CPUs.

In other titles. Not so much (ie:minfps) swaying back n forth at times with variance throughout...the drops also vary on a few game engine factors out of your control. Physics/Heavy Foliage.. Cpu driven/bound technologies...

Google/Youtube seach enough "fx9 gtx1070" and you'll eventually get a rough idea on some results, try to find comparisons.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

  • 3 months later...

I still went with 1070 and 9590 and it was bad fps everywhere.

Then i got i5 7600k and PROFIT!!

ETS2 fps raised A LOT

RUST runs almost buttery smooth 100fps constant

AND i got to turn half of my pc fans off lol

All games are at AMAZING detail level
