Motherboard for i7-6800K

I'm trying to decide between an ASRock X99 Extreme 4 (released 2014) and Asus X99-e (released 2016). The former board is about £45 cheaper, which is a considerable saving, but is also much older, whereas the latter was released specifically for Broadwell-E. What do you think?

Doesn't matter much. I'd get the cheapest as they ate both decent

I personally would go with the Asus board only because of the quality of the components Asus uses ver ASRock but really they seem about the same

Nah, new boards should already have that, so it's not really a consideration.

Would the Asus board's additional CPU power plug make a difference?

Maybe not. I can not be sure.
