Ummm.. Hello LTT, It's been quite a while since my last post.. I do have something 'serious" but can you detect what is making a PC slow when its new?? :3

What is slow about your PC, how could it be faster? Specs? 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Technically its at laptop, anyways. 4GB Ram (Soon I will upgrade) 1TB HDD Nvidia 940MX Intel Core i5 6200U

In what way is it slow? can you validate with benchmarks?

What is slow about it? If you want it to boot and load programs faster, you could replace the HDD with a SSD. If you have alot open at once, more ram could help (4Gb isn't much).

For what is worth he said it uses a HDD, so the very first thing that comes to mind is throwing a SSD on it before bothering to upgrade those 4gbs of ram xD

I've already thought of that but SSDs in our country isn't cheap :3

well for starters it's got an HDD and not an SSD, that will make new hardware MUCH slower then they should be (ask me how I know). but it's also kind of a lower power machine to start with with a U processor, so don't think "oh it's an i5, it should run faster then this".

Try removing the programs you don't need and disable the services you don't need. Best case scenario is to buy an SSD since the rest of your specs are fine, but worst case scenario you can do some of the things in this guide:

SSD is the best single upgrade you can do to notice higher performance, and considering this is a laptop where upgrading is not as easy as in desktops this seems to be the best course of action, however you'll be paying the price of a 1TB HDD for a 240gb SSD what will limit you a lot in space so do choose this carefully.

Not much more can be done then, that will probably be the best way to speed up your laptop. The only other thing you could try would be to re-format or defragment your HDD, that can speed it up a little.

only if SSDs were cheap :( but yeah I guess I have no choice but to upgrade into an SSD but the thing is.. the HDD isn't easy access :3
