EVGA and Gigabyte released the Titan X Maxwell with their own cooling solution which nVidia didnt like

 

so now nVidia sells the flagship GPU directly

 

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

That sucks, hope you manage to get it repaired through Nvidia!

 

I would think, as long as you use the original screws etc., they would not be able to notice you removed the original cooler? Unless you scratched it up or scratched the PCB in some way.

 

But perhaps they will be able to identify the damage caused by improper cooler installation or something.. I guess hope for the best!
