Motherboard without VRM cooling for 8 Core fx-8350?

My board: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0

I'm not planning on overclocking and I have a hyper 212 evo. Will this board heat up too much?

The VRMS have no cooling and i'm going to be gaming.

Don't OC on that board, it is likely to dislike it and trigger OPP or even set itself on fire.  It's not just the lack of cooling, it's the fact that it's only got 4 phases for the CPU.

 

If you want to OC a 8350 grab one with a good VRM like the Asrock 970A-G/3.1

slower than a i3 in most games, uses lots of power, its basically a 5 year old chip now, missing lots of newer io. Id spend a bit more on a i3 or wait for ryzen
