1080 Ti tradeup program. Have they ever allowed 2 for 1?

Wut? Pretty sure you can sell used 980 Ti for more than that.

Exactly. I don't see them actually letting it see the light of day, but if they do anyone who uses it is foolish.

And 2 980ti are much faster than a 1080ti anyway, but that's not the topic.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

No you can't get 2 for 1. It was never like that.

And you will get 200$ discount if you send them your 980 Ti. I'm pretty sure you can sell 980 Ti for more than that, so not realy worth it if you ask me.

So for two could I get 400 then? And does the type of 980ti I have any extra value?

You can sell each of your 980 ti matrix for like $300-400, so it's not worth the hassle, better off just selling them.

980 TI SLI should be faster than a 1080 TI anyways though.

Maxwell is crap, and the 980Ti is getting a bit old...

Dat low hanging fruit.

This is why people pick on PC users. You don't look at performance, only production date. Most 980ti match a 1070, some beat it. The 1080 barely beats a 980ti, and the only real upgrade the upcoming 1080ti is likely to sell for around a grand.

But the facts don't matter because people stopped building PC'S to game with and started building PC'S to fill a signature.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

On original topic, it'll be a game of wait and see. There's so much speculation on top of speculation we might as well be talking about Zen.

As for performance of 980Ti, at least of the two I have at factory OC are slower than a factory OC 1070, but the more cores of 980Ti can take over if you can get the clocks high enough, power consumption aside. Still, now we're at some 18 months after the 980Ti launch, and it is still a potent card with few faster: 1070, 1080, and Titan X + XP.

Yeah, but the matrix has piss poor thermals in SLI and I'm tired of dealing with the issues I've been having with it. Just weighing all my options. I'm happy with the performance I'm getting already, I just figured if I could trade up for little to no cost that I might do it. I'm sure the matrix is worth a decent amount, but I doubt there are any buyers at this point. For some reason people think the 980ti sucks now, even though an aftermarket 980ti still beats a lot of 1080's in benchmarks.
