Hey guys, I'm looking to finally build my first gaming PC this Christmas. I would've done it a while ago but my Grammy needed a house :P. Anyways I'm looking to build one now. I have a budget of about $700 USD. I live in the Bahamas and it's getting shipped here but our currency is equal. I need a PC for gaming. I might try to learn video editing later on. I don't  a monitor but i plan to run at 1080p. I have an old keyboard and a $5 wireless mouse but if I can afford to I'd love to replace the keyboard with a ten keyless and the mouse with something better. I don't really care about the case because I'm gonna be putting it in a cabinet and never really gonna see it anyways. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: BTW I plan to move to 2 monitors later on if I get the chance.

Bit over, but includes a TKL mechanical with Reds. Mice are personal, so you'll have to do your own hunting for that. G402 and DeathAdder are pretty good though.

This goes a little over budget, but it includes what I mentioned earlier. The RX 480 is also, at the moment, the better buy than the GTX 1060 due its demonstrably better driver support.

AHHHHH don't put your PC in a cabinet unless it has access to plenty of airflow, OK!

That said, you're looking at i3 + 480 or 1060 range from what I would gather.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

The GTR RX 480 is good option to consider, I think its the best RX 480 so far. The Gaming X is a bit better than the NITRO+ if I recall as well.

Going for the i5 6500 is a common recommendation, but if he can't afford it the i5 6400 will do fine.

Thanks a lot man! I was a bit partial to Nvidia because of shadowplay so does AMD have anything similar?

Dont worry I removed the rear wall of the cabinet and I could cut holes in the sides if things heat up

Thanks for the advice man! I dont play that many Triple A games though. Only really TF2 minecraft bioshock Unturned and so on. The most taxing game I may ever play is Ark Evolved.

I agree. I was trying to get as close to $700 as possible without giving up that awesome keyboard, although I suppose the $40-something Redragon one wouldn't hurt.

I think the XFX GTR is the best RX 480 out there. I just have a habit of recommending Sapphire NITRO AMD cards because of their consistently impressive performance and handsome aesthetic. How much more will the GTR set him back?

I don't remember what exactly, it differs based on how you test it. But in most reviews it seems overall better, especially with temps.

Do you think we could shave off enough for me to afford to get 2 monitors from the start? The build seems a bit overkill for what I plan to play anyways. BTW I still need a monitor :)

Lol sorry about that

Full setup. Includes a mechanical tenkeyless keyboard from Redragon and a matching mouse with customizable weights, macro keys, and a max DPI of 2000. The display used here is a 75Hz FreeSync 2ms 1080p 22" monitor from ViewSonic that has decent colour accuracy cor a TN panel. It also fits nicely into your budget.

I know the monitor is listed as a 60Hz panel. It only hits 75Hz with FreeSync on, as it's rated to run in the 48-75Hz range. Keep the right settings, and you should see a consistent 75 FPS on every game out there without much of a drop in visual fidelity.

I can personally vouch for all the peripherals here. I have used this mouse and have recommended the keyboard and display to several friends, all of whom are happy with them. I also bought my Windows key from Kinguin.
