What SSD for an old laptop?

Thanks for all your help. I also have decent computer knowledge, so I wouldn't have used any top-of-the-line SSD, but I completely forgot considering SATA speeds. I am most likely gonna go and buy a cheap model from a reliable brand.

If you buy a Samsung SSD

 

You can get a 5 to 10 year warranty on it.

 

You can probably then use it in your next PC build after discarding this labtop too. So don't worry about buying a fairly decent SATA III.

 

Just weigh up whats best for you.
