Corsair K95 RGB vs Logitech G810

Cryptonite

so I'm new to mechanical keyboards and I've gotten 2 for free :o The Corsair K95 and the Logitech G810, which one of these are in your opinion better or more responsive for gaming? so far I'm leaning towards the K95, however would love some opinions.

The K95 has a million macro keys and uses Cherry MX switches. The G810 uses Logitech Romer G switches and doesn't have all the macro keys. They're both quality keyboards, both great for gaming. Give them both a feel and pick for yourself, cause they'll both feel different!

I used to be quite active here.

People are saying Romer G are much like MX red and I like the design of g810 even though k95 offers LOADS of macro keys

The Romer-G switches are between a MX Blue for the tactile "click" and the MX Reds when it comes to activation force.

K95 with Cherry MX Arbitrary switches is definitely more responsive.

I mean, it would be a PITA to just plug both in to see which you prefer. Don't want to have to deal with returning the other one after having bought it.

I was looking for second opinions, I was just wondering if I missed something somewhere and maybe one had a feature that needed to be enabled on the driver side etc. I'm still playing around with both (mostly the k95 though) and just needed to reasure myself that I should shove the other in my closet as a spare or w/e and be done with it, however I was afraid I'd miss something.

You can try out the K95's macro keys by setting them up in Corsair Link.

I have a G710+ which also has macro keys on the left, but because I always mistake it for the Ctrl/Shift I made typing errors.

Now I mainly use a K65. Felt the macro keys were too much of a hassle for what little use I made of them.

Apart from that both K95 and G810 are pretty much par on features. The floating key design of the Corsair K series does make it a lot easier to clean.

On the other hand the G810 has a more modest, professional look. The Romer G switches not being noisy means the G810 would make a great office keyboard.

Maybe have the K95 for home/gaming use, and take the G810 to work. If you don't work, could pass it to a family member.

the macro keys aren't a bother as they seem separate from the rest of the keyboard, thanks for your feedback, I think I'll do just that, I'll keep the K95 at home and use the G810 at work since I can use it at work for some light gaming as well it might be to my advantage.
