Need a modem and router recommendation.

Need a recommendation for modem and a router no more than a sum of $200. My ISP is time warner in the states, plan speeds are 300 down and 10 up. Main focus is for gaming, and I do have multiple devices hooked up to wifi in the household. I play fighting games, souls/borne PvP, and shooters.

 

Or can I not go wrong understanding what I need and shopping by price?

Arris wifi modems are good, should run you around $100 for a good model
