how do I setup rss feed with utorrent

Hope I've got the right section for this?

Hay there was poking around utorrent the other day and stumbled on the rss side of things and read the help menu and had a go with no results

Could someone please explain how to set this up properly as I torrent a lot.

Just a heads up, discussion of such things illegal torrenting and similar things is not permitted on these forums.

Edit: Just so long as this is a lot of legal torrenting, you're fine :)

Torrenting, in and of itself isn't illegal. The torrent client isn't either and asking to setup RSS feeds in a torrent client isn't problematic, but the source could be if it's a website containing illegal material.

While most torrent website are for downloading copyrighted material there are quite a few legal torrent website out there! (I personally have a few torrents of different Linux distros running to help the community)

So as long as the OP isn't breaking the CS by talking about illegal material, it should be fine.

I would find an alternative to utorrent, or if you really like it you can use the version 2.2.1. Thing is, at one point utorrent sneaked a bitcoin miner (epicscale) in one of their version and while it was removed later, that was a dick move on their part and I've stayed away since.

As for the RSS feed, you can check their guide here (can't help more than that since, like I said, I don't use it anymore);

True, I guess I shouldn't have assumed but when OP said they torrent alot that usually means less than legal things, but I do see your point. Editing my post to make that clear :)

As for doing RSS, there should be an RSS button on the client itself, be it uTorrent, Transmission, Deluge, etc. and you just paste in the RSS link. For uTorrent and it's variants you have to open up the RSS list in the client and right click on Load to get them to start downloading.

lol yeah, totally understand, but since he's not asking for help about obtaining illegal material it's fine (I even cleared this up with one of the forum admin to be sure ;) )
