What's a Good Place to Start Learning About CPU and GPU Architectures?

Thanks for that book! We'll have to exchange info over time. Finally someone whos interested in it like me :P I havent gotten very far into calculus. Like, done a few equations. Im mostly doing grade 10 algebra, functions, and trigonometry. Ive been learning out of my moms old uni textbook which doesnt give much into those 3 things as they are expected to know them so Ive been learning at khanacademy.org I asked for 4 years to learn this stuff to no avail so I had to take it into my own hands. And I think you really need calculus when you get really advanced. And remember the Art of Electronics is also a reference book, not all of it is teaching

Ya... I started reading the beginning of the book annndddd let's just say a lot of the concepts I don't really understand that well and it doesn't explain it that clearly either. I'll keep reading it but if I really don't get it I'll probably go looking for some other book that explains the basics of electronics.

If you're doing "Grade 10 algebra" what you're doing might be quite similar to what I'm doing right now. At least in the American public school system, you're supposed to learn alg 2 in 10th or 11th grade so we might be doing similar stuff :D though you have done some pre calc and touched on calc. The only thing remotely close to calc I've done is limits (I did that outside of school) which isn't too hard and which I happened to do a little tiny bit of at school this year.

I think though that the math thing I do outside of school might start touching on a bit of calculus this year or something (apparently a lot of the parents of other kids in it have been pushing the instructor to teach some of it) so I could potentially end up touching on it soon.

Do you have any suggestions on getting started with electronics in general? Art of Electronics is definitely a little hard to start with so I'm wondering if there's something else more tailored towards someone trying to learn stuff out there.

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Most of it I acquired from lots of googling. I also recommend the Youtubers GreatScott. He has lots of tutorials on this sort of thing

I assume then you're taking EE, CE, or something else similar in college right now?

Yes, computer engineering
