PC build max 1080p gaming

I am quite experienced with building PCs but, I am not familiar with the latest graphics cards and CPUs. I am looking to build a PC for 1080p gaming with graphics on ultra in games such as GTA V, arma and bf1. I would also like the PC to be future proof and run many new games for a few years. The PC should be good for editing too. I will be willing to build it all myself as it is a lot cheaper! Please could someone reccommend me PC components that will all be compatible and satisfy my needs! Thanks, Harry

Budget?

Need peripherals (monitor, keyboard, etc)?

Color preference?

Will you overclock?

but even if his budget is a small loan of a million dollars (heh), it doesnt mean we should get him a 20 core xeon and quad titan X pascals.

The 6700k is better for a few games, but most games have similar performance between a 6600k and 6700k.

Sorry I forgot to mention my budget! £1000 is what I'm looking at. I own all peripherals I need and I don't care about colour preference. I might over clock in future but as of now it is not a must.

Thank you for your response! So this PC would be able to run say Gta V at ultra and I'm guessing for future games.
