PC for my grandma?

donggun222

Hello all, im a student with a budget of about 600 dollars of pocket money that i have collected. This winter ill be heading of to Korea to see my grandma and i want to build her a new PC. She has been complaining about how old her old one was so slow. All she does is some internet banking and one of those boring looking card games(pretty techy grandma). This will probably be my last time seeing her in a while because of my gcse's so i want to give her something special. Is it possible to build a fast enough computer with my budget? Thanks.

Quite honestly I don't see why you added a gt 730 since by the sounds of it integrated graphics will be more than enough for OP's grandma. Otherwise I totally agree.

I would consider buying a tablet for her personally. Much better for internet banking usually as they have a system to encrypt the data from that app and prove that it is the user. Also, way more games for her to use, card or other games of course. And way less power usage too. I would ask your Grandma first though, maybe she doesn't like touchscreens?

Anyway, I hope that might be of some help to you.. if not then I apologise and wish you good luck :)

I agree. I actually edited my original HTCP part list where I had a crappy cpu and a dgpu to do 4K.

She needs a computer because she has a class where they teach elder people how to use computers and she seems to do things like watching videos, sending emails etc

True. Get her an IPAD. They are more user friendly then an android tablet (And this is coming from an Android/Windows kinda guy)

My last build then. Even though the build above is better. The PSU is fine. That's what 400 reviewers on Newegg says so but because @ARikozuM worries for your granny too much I edited
