Bluetooth on the ROG MAXIMUS VIII FORMULA Z170 Mainboard

Hi all - hope this isn't a really silly question.  I've gone through the manual, googled, done the usual.

I haven't got the Wifi MIMO antenna plugged in.  Got Ubuntu installed and tried to detect my Bluetooth mouse, but nothing showed up.

 

Must the MIMO antennas be attached, although all docs indicate the antennas are for Multipath Wifi only?

 

I'll get Windows 10 booted and see if Bluetooth works there.
