Id personally suggest a different linux distro, like centos or debian.

Pics? Does the usb boot on other systems. Under boot options does the usb show under hdd's or removeable storage?

I am unable to find a usb option in the BIOS. This machine is so weird. It came with a usb with VMWARE esxi that it can boot from.

I am brand new to servers, so I have no idea how to use it. I like unRAID because from Linus' video it seems very intuitive. It has 2 10gbe cards and a fiber card installed. Would that cause issues?

UnRAID has bigger limitations than ESXi, so I'd just look into how to manage ESXi instead. It's not that difficult. All you need to do it connect it to a network and manage it remotely with the vSphere client or vSphere web client if you have ESXi 6.0U2. ESXi is very well documented.

Honestly I have had many problems with unRaid especially with GPU pass through. I would strongly recommend using ESXI, I have had pretty good luck with it and it passes through my ancient but still decent HD5970's. I am also running a Gen6 server much like yours with (2x) X5660's and they work great!

I haven't played with the M3's however I wouldn't be surprised if you had to burn the ISO to the USB with a specialist utility. Eg with HPE you need to use a specific media creation kit HPE Disk Utlility - for the server to be able to recognise the USB.

I have booted USBs made with regular formatting tools without problems op HPE gear.
