Im an IT guy love pcs and gaming, comp sci major worked in IT for a few years before I got my current job as Tesla. Im just not super into phone 2bh I get up and walk across the house just so I dont have to use my phone lol (Surly 1 of you guys or girls do the same :P ) really only use them for banking, google maps, Snapchat, utube while in bed etc. Just looking for a really fast phone. the faster the better, good camera, nice screen and easy to use.

The Pixel or the s7.  I really wouldn't use the iphone due to the nature of the os. Go android or go home :)

the best bang for buck Android phones right now are the One Plus 3/ 3T and the ZTE Axon 7 all of which Linus has reviewed

Go for the Pixel!

Other best bang for buck Android phones usually have either terrible update cycles or no support whatsoever...

I would recommend Note 7. It's a nice phone. But it blows. Or else I would go for it too

stay away from anything that is not getting the android 7 update. I think the cheapest phone I would consider is the cheaper phones that Sony and Asus have. Sony produces very good miniature versions of their flagship product that are affordable & compact

Well, I'm a cheapskate too, and I managed to find a reconditioned LG V10 for about £240 ($300). It has a great 1440p 5.7' (I think) screen which is great for watching videos, the camera is pretty good, it's tough as nails with a stainless steel frame, it's fairly snappy, it has a android 7.0 on the way. Only down side that it has to come from China. If the listing said it was new I would've believed it, it's in great condition.

If you can get the Pixel then I'd get the Pixel, if not then either the s7 or the OnePlus 3T. I have the s7 Edge and it's a nice phone but it's pretty expensive.

The Pixel isn't notably cheaper (than the S7), and I would argue with just about anyone about it being better.
