Use PCpartpicker and get your stuff from different merchants. Though Amazon, Newegg and other major ones have the best customer support (in terms of quick returns, RMAs and such).

PCPartPicker is good for planning and getting a quote, but you may not want to pull the trigger from them. The one issue I have with them is they give you the "final" price with rebates included.

 

Also they use some vendors that don't have the best of reputations, like B&H. And Amazon listings may not be from Amazon themselves.

There are a few more, but those listed above are a good start.

 

I've found that NCIX has much higher prices than any of the above. Never bought anything from there due to this.
