New System or Car?

TubsAlwaysWins

Should I go for a ~$1500 build or just not do that and put the $1500 torwards a Subaru WRX (Right now it looks like a good car for my needs). I plan to give myself until next spring break (Spring Break of 2018 I believe) to save for a car. (The car im looking at is around $22,500 but I will only need about $11,250 because my dad will match whatever I save up).

I agree with others, saying the Car will be more useful, since you already have a PC.

Is this your first car? (As in, not just borrowing your parents car) If so, I'd suggest maybe getting something a little more practical. WRX's are alright, but in the Hatchback department, there are other options which might be better.

Generally, I'd say get the car you want, as your second car. That way you learn how to treat the car properly as an owner (Because borrowing your parents isn't the same thing).

With that in mind, if you're dead set on getting the WRX, and you can afford it (Remember to factor in Gas, regular maintenance, insurance, etc), then sure go for it.

FYI Spring Break is in March of every year. Next spring break would be March of 2017, not 2018. The next Spring Break is only ~4 months away.
