Yeah glad I wasnt into pc's back in those lsd looking days.
beige/silver/multicoloured computers can all burn in hell.
DSC-0319 looks like the best overall rig, very clean

the problem with the 540 is its pretty much double the size of a normal case...when pc's are getting smaller (with the exception of the 900D which is a totally different type of system).
whats really changed? the components are more efficient but you still have the same components pretty much thats why they take the same amount of space to do the same job..

beige pc's->custom mid towers->enthusiast full tower's->mid tower(define r4s etc)->matx (350d)->itx, its the future..
matx will become the new "fulltower" for the watercooling guys and itx will be the standard (with decent onboard sound, vertical vrm circuits, onboard msata ssd's and remote home servers/clouds/NAS's).

I have build logs of all my and my friends pc's (most of which I built) for this purpose^

I love the Air 540, it is such a great case. Once you need a new HDD, move the SSD into the bays in the back. They are really easy to insert, like the HDD. Also, get another SSD soon.

My reasoning behind getting the 540 was, well I love the look of it. Also I wanted to get my PC off of the floor, it used to suck in so much dust down there, and it was the right size and weight to fit back on my desk.

It was strange to see my older builds now that I have more experience. I thought they looked the "dogs danglies" at the time, now I think to myself  "oh dear".

I like one of the photos where in the background you have one of those old thermal take fans which you could put your own message onto! Old school! Please say you still have that fan!

I want that fan!

I always love to see old builds from "back in the day" and you only then start to realise how much has changed over just the course of a decade!

The fan is a Thermaltake Cyclo Logo Fan 12cm A2460. There was a different on that had different patterns. I had a look in my box of bits and it has gone, probably gave it to a friend.
