R9 380 4gb vs Gtx960 4gb (MSI variants)

Hi everyone

It is that time when a graphics card upgrade is needed.

I'm stuck between team green and red when it comes to the GTX960 4gb vs the R9 380 4gb. Both of them are from MSI

I only really game at 720p and i dont always game as most times im doing 3D designs and website templates

Which should I go for or am i going overkill?

Specs:

Amd A10 7860k

1TB toshiba 7200rpm

Corsair vs450

8gb 1600mhz ram

The 380 hands down. However I would recommend the RX 480. The RX 480 is only $200 from MSI right now and its so much better than either of these cards.

If you're playing at 720p you could easily max out pretty much any game with a 750ti. Not sure why you're looking at GPUs that are for 1080p 60 FPS gaming.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

If you want tu run The Division properly, get the RX 470 or the RX 480 if you can afford it.

I love how the OP posted on the wrong subforum but got answered anyway.

For me I'd recommend RX 470 or GTX 1050Ti if you're on a budget, the latest generation generally is more power efficient and more powerful.
