So i was unaware that only Z-170 chipset supports Overclocking for SKYLAKE Processors. And i went ahead purchased Core i5-6600K & ASUS B-150M Plus Motherboard. I'm unable to overclock the CPU and replacing the motherboard is not an option. Is there anyway to overclock the i5-6600K on a B-150 Chipset Motherboard..... Please Help :(

No, if you can't overclock, you can't overclock.

I never own B150 mobo but i think u can if u are savy enough.
But i am not sure if u can overclock on B150 mobo. and why do u want to overclock it anyway?
is 3.90 Ghz not enough for your game?

3.9 GHz maybe enough for now... but what about future.... also i spent $80 on cooling accessories just because of i5-6600K.

It's enough in the future. Less has been enough for a long time. It's a 4-core. You're fine. But once you can afford it, just buy a new motherboard. Maybe wait for the 200-series chips.

Then u are doing a mistake if u want to be more futureproofed by buying 6600k..U could buy 6700k or buy a cheap pentium G series and wait for kaby lake if u are a man of patience.

Although 6600k is enough for maxed out AAA games for now or at least 2 years later.. who knows.

i don't know if you follow linus or no.. but buying a 6700k would have been an overkill for me.... all i wanted to do is pure gaming.

the retailer wont take it back, and z-170 motherboards start at $130 in my area.

So that's the reason. Not sure how much this B150 cost for you, but

6600K with Hyper 212 Evo is good enough and that should leave you with money to spare on a  Z170 board.

Lesson learned here. Only Z chipset from Intel officially supports overclocking.

First one right off the bat. And  I won't not even grab the extra fans. Core component first, everything else come second.
