Hi LTT

At the moment i am running my internet via a 4g/lte connection on the router my ISP provided me with.
If i am lucky i can get a 18/1 connection, but i am not entirely satisfied with it.
I live in a flat on the lowest floor and i have the router by the window facing the center of my city, so i should have given the router the best chance of getting a good connection.

Would i be able to improve my connection my spending money on a higher quality 4g/lte router or would the difference be negligible?
I have checked the possibilities of getting a wired connection, but the copper wires going to my appartment can give me 12/1 mbit.

I hope some of you have good knowledge of this and can share it with me (And others in need)

The difference would most likely be negligible since it's more the tower itself which will give you the connection speed than the receiving router. So unless you can get a tower closer to your location there isn't much that will help.

With LTE there are tons of factors. Firstly there are the speeds the tower can handle. I live in the City of Romulus I get 20Mbps down on T Mobile on my phone. Go to Canton, I can get 90Mbps down. There also is how congested is the tower, how far away. How many bars is the router getting from the tower (Signal Strength). I personally would settle for the 12/1 connection as Im sure the latency would be lower than LTE and it might be more reliable in the long term.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
