Hello, for a really long time I've shook really bad when trying to show people pictures and texts on my phone. I figured it might go away after a while, but it hasn't. I am beginning to get worried. I turned 15 not to long ago and my resting heart rate ranges in the mid to upper 40's normally. I am 5'9" and weigh 160 lbs. I have no idea what my blood pressure is. If anyone could give me some insight that would be great. Thanks to all who respond. (:

Have you talked to a doctor?  Could be a symptom of several things.  Parkinson's is one that most people relate, especially if you're young.  You could also have nutritional deficiencies as the cause.  Do you do drugs?  Whether prescribed or not, drug use/abuse can cause such a condition.

This is the kind of thing you should never ask us. Go talk to your Doctor, man. Are you crazy?

I'll give you insight: Please talk to your Doctor IMMEDIATELY.

I was just wondering if you guys had any idea of what it was before I went to the doctor. I know I should go to the doctor and I will, I just want to know what they might say before going. But like I said I've had it for a long time, ever since I was like 5 or 6. I don't think it's a problem personally because every check up or visit to the doctor that I've had, they have cleared me for everything. I just don't like my hands shaking all of the time.

You might have a neurological disorder that manifests itself as the shaky hands. This might deteriorate later in life if not treated.

Furthermore, if you've been getting checkups, but NOT telling them about your shaky hands, they're missing crucial information in those checkups. They're not providing you a true diagnostic. They might well have simply never noticed the hands, since you didn't tell them about it.

We can't tell you what's the problem, since there are like a million different possible causes of "shaky hands". It could be arthritis. Or it could be a neuro-degenerative disease. Or it could be nothing. Hell if any of us are going to know the answer without being able to physically examine you and know your medical history.

As mentioned earlier it may be a neurological disorder.

It could also be a diabetes related issue.  People who are diabetic as well as those who are hypoglycemic often get the shakes when their blood sugar is low.  So if your shakes comes and goes depending how long it's been since you have eaten then it may be that.

If it is persistent throughout the day and night then its likely something else.

I understand why you would want to get more info before going to a doctor, but that is more likely to make you panic more than necessary or worse not take the condition seriously and avoid the doctor altogether.

bottom line get off the computer and schedule an appointment.

On a side note i'm rather proud of the people who have responded to this thread. No trolling, sarcasm, or anything like that. Just folks giving the right advice.

Tremors are usually caused by problems with areas of the brain that control movements. Neurological problems can cause tremors, but they can also be caused by metabolic problems and toxins (such as alcohol) that affect the brain and nervous system. Shaking hands and tremor can also be a side effect of medications.

In short go see a doctor as their are plenty of detrimental things that can cause long term damage that have hand shaking/tremors as a symptom

Part of the reason why it's better to talk to a doctor is that it takes more precision that "my hands shake" to tell you anything, and the doctor will know which questions to ask to understand the issue better. It could be "my hands shake" as in me, who tries to draw a straight line and makes an S, or as in Muhammad Ali's late life. We may randomly hint at things, but we'll soon end up with a list ranging from "don't worry, it's normal" to neurodegenerative diseases, and you'll be left wondering again.
