I just got this mousepad in, the HyperX Fury Pro Large. Its a pretty thick mousepad. But there is an issue

The mousepad feels very bumpy out of the box, I've had it for 2 days so far, it's fairly difficult to deal with. Every thick mousepad I've owned has done this, and I ended up never using them, could someone help out and tell me why its bumpy, and how to get rid of it? Ive tried iron-ing it, sticking it in the dryer, putting something heavy on it for a few hours.

Uh..........

I don't think those materials are safe to iron and put in a dryer......

Just buy a different mouse pad. I am currently using a writing mat and it works great. Its got a plasticy top to it, but also some foam underneath.

If you're just going to do random shit to it, here's a list of things to try:

  • Lighterfluid
  • Fireworks
  • Gun powder
  • Bubble gum

Now, if you feel it's "bumpy" then return it & buy a different one.

I feel like ironing it would void the warrenty.

Yes or better yet place the item under a press, like a multi-ton press.

If a couple hundred pounds of force per foot can't flatten a mousemat, you're f#cked.

They are full cloth mousepads, of course they are

And you think that all cloth can be ironed and put in the dryer??

Maybe you should try reading the instructions first?

It will say on the website if a mouse pad is washable or not and if you can put it under high heat.
