VR on 980ti

Does anyone have any first hand experience with VR on a 980ti. I am interested in gettin a vive but not sure if my card is good enough. I have a evga 980ti which I have gotten to 1450mhz on core clock

I have a 970 and the rift is fine with it, the 980ti is probably more than fine, if you're playing racing games it should be fine I can't really play project cars without lower the settings super low but dirt rally is okay once you've messed around with the ground cover a bit, might not able to push elite at 2x res. Valve finally have implemented something similar to ASW.

You can use a 7970 with most easier to run VR games, so yes, you're 980Ti will be more than capable.

I'd seriously reconsider though. There's next to nothing out there for it, and you'll probably get bored pretty fast.

yes but the market is growing and I havent really heard of people getting that bored of it. if I remember LTT did a vid about VR being "dead" but I think thats just drama

My friend has one and he said it was one of the worse purchasing decisions he's made in a while.

Think of it this way. By the time there's actually a decent library of games for it, V2.0 will be out.

Buying now is kind of pointless. It's cool, but not that cool.

I'd at least wait and see how that wireless kit plays out.

thats true but I definetly want a VR headset
