Do toy cars have servos that I can connect onto an arduino somehow?

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

Hobby RC cars do, not toy cars.

They use proprietary tiny motors wired to a proprietary PCB that controls them. They are not servos.

Also you cannot use regular RC servos to make a robot card because they only have about 160 degrees of rotation.

You need to buy a continuous rotation servo if you want to use them for driving wheels.

the title says it. I've got literally EVERYTHING you need to build one of those fancy arduino robot cars. The only thing I'm missing are two servos and a chassis where I can place the arduino on. I don't really feel like waiting for something to ship from a website. Instead, I want to see if I can just drive to like a toys r us and see if they have any toy cars I can mod. Does anyone know if toy cars have servos that make the wheels work? If so, how could I connect it to an arduino to make it be powered off of it?

Sorry If this ends up being a stupid rhetorical question. New to robotics.

Well if they have a steering column and whatever there must be a servo in there.

The only problem i can think of is that it's not in a separate plastic box so you can't just get it out.

Why don't you drive to your local RC shop? They have stuff like that.

Well something like radioshack doesn't even exist in my country :D

And there are like 5-ish RC shops in the whole country so i know the struggle.

Maybe you can get some from a local dude via ebay?
