Question on keyboard / keypad

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

No, mechanicals still only have two states (a pressed key and when a key is not pressed) so they can't do what you want to do with it. Mechanical just have accuation points that are halfway the keystroke, instead of having to bottom out the keys like with a membrane keyboard.

Hey

I understand how a mechanical keyboard functions, but how does it play out? (You know?)

So I like playing an fps with a gamepad for the movement control of the analog stick.

In a game where stealth is key I like how I can move at a snails pace if need be.

On a normal keyboard its either 'go' or 'stop'.

Does a mechanical keyboard let me creep into a speed, detecting how much throttle, I guess you could say, I apply?

If so, what keyboard would you recomend to purchase?

Practically all keyboards are digital: either the key is on or not.

If you want something that combines the best of both worlds, I believe Logitech and Razer have a keypad with a thumb stick that takes care of the left hand size of control.
