My first build. Will this work pretty well and are the pasts good together?

you do not need a hyper 212 since you are not OC and that cpu comes with a stock heatsink

Scrap that cooler and get a RX 470, you don't need one intel includes one with the box. Also get a 450W CXM, 650W is plain unnecessary with a RX 460 and even a RX 470.

The cooler may not be necessary, but it is a great cooler. It wil keep your system quiet and cool. If you aren't a tight budget, I'd keep it. Also a cheap SSD will make a big difference for about $60. PNY CS1311 240GB or the OCZ Trion 150 240GB are good options. Highly recommend. A better card wouldn't hurt either, but its is fine.

But if that means getting a much much slower RX 460, you are better off with the stock cooler. You can get another cooler later.

26 USD saved by getting a 450W CXM and 30 USD saved by getting the stock cooler, so total 56 USD saved. Add that to the price of the 460 he is getting and you get 183 USD. Enough to get a 4GB 470, is not?

For best build, I would drop the cooler (at least temporarily) , but I'd buy a SSD. The Corsair CX430M can be bought for cheap, I would also recommend getting the 470. (make sure if you buy a 430M you have the included 8pin GPU power, because you cannot buy a random one, You must have the cable designed for it.

Plus the fact you only said about the cooler

And the RX 460 is $100 not $127

Sort of the same as everyone else ....

- you don't need a CM Hyper 212. Use the stock cooler and put the money towards getting an RX 470.

Or, if you want the "look" of a fancy cooler, get a cheaper CM Hyper 101i, TX3, 103, etc.

- 650watts is not necessary. Get a CX450M or CX550M instead.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

Costs 127 USD.

Actually, many cards come with a MOLEX to PCIe adapter, and they can be purchased separately (if your power supply doesn't already have a PCIe 6+2-pin connector).

Costs $100 with MIB

Why do you think we include builds with MIB

What do you mean by MIB?

Regardless, if he can afford to pay 126 USD for this card, he can afford to pay 183 USD for a RX 470 if he gets rid of that unnecessary cooler and gets a more suitable PSU to up his budget for the card.

Mail in Rebates. I wouldn't count on them. Never got my $25 from MSI. I did get $5 from corsair tho

Well the OP is going to pay that 126 USD amount anyway with the mail in rebate, so unless he really needs that 30 USD back there is no reason why he couldn't get that RX 470.

Regardless, that's up to the OP.

Would like to somehow make this a little cheaper because I am still needing a monitor.

Ok then last question for now. All of this would fit nicely in the case and do you think you could tell me some games I could run on high? The games I try to play right now are Rocket League, H1Z1 KotK, CSGO and would like to play bigger games even. This is just what I am worried about the most is not being able to play the games I want on good settings with good frames.

Probably can completely max these out

For more on RX 470 performance:

I think the RX 470 should have had a price drop to 169, but for some reason some of the cards still sell at 180ish
