First Gaming pc

So I'm building my first PC, I've been using integrated graphics all my life and got tired of how poorly my games run, like H1Z1 runs at about 15fps on low graphics, I need just about everything, even my keyboard is failing and my mouse will no longer scroll, so I've come up with some builds and I'm trying to keep it cheaper than $1050 because, well that's my budget I would really appreciate the help I've started 2 builds

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/FVFVBP

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/rZcX2R

I'm leaning toward and because of how cheap it is and i think it can perform ok for the games I'm looking to play(CSGO,Overwatch, H1Z1, GTA,etc.) im fully open to other cpu's gpu's or anything, but i would like to keep the sli/crossfire option open in case i upgrade in the future, thus the higher powered power supply. Thank you for your advice and ill let you know of my decision when i make it.

i3 6100 is a bit slower but will have an upgrade path. A 8350 is the top of the line and offers no future

Invest the money saved into higher quality peripherals.

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/HKhQRG

The 6400 performs 17% better and does not require an aftermarket cooler. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-6400-vs-AMD-FX-8350/3512vs1489 AMD CPU's are notorius for awful single core performance, sure they have a lot of cores but they all run slow and all games require 4 cores or less.

A GTX 1060 6GB is not much better than the 480 but will draw less power and generate less heat than the 480. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB-vs-AMD-RX-480/3639vs3634

This build will max out almost all games 1080p 60fps+ (including the games you listed).

i5-6600k (4.6) | Dark Rock 3 | MSI GAMING X 1060 6GB | 8GB DDR4 | 120GB SSD & 1TB HDD | Crystal 460x

 | Acer GN246HL 1080p 24" 144hz & Acer G246HL 1080p 24" 60hz |

None of the above, needs better PSU and CPU:

Here is a way better build. 144hz for competetive CS GO gameplay.  A good quad core cpu for games and a 1060 6gb

Also a mechanical (cherry brown) keyboard and a nice mouse that I use and love. Still giving you around $100 to add whatever you want

You should not get either of those AMD builds for gaming unless you're some diehard AMD fanboy. You should get an intel based build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/X6qvZ8

You could easily trim 100-150 more dollars off this build, but you wanted to future proof with options for SLI (which is a bad idea considering your budget), so I had to put in a Z170 board (only Z series boards can SLI) and an overkill PSU. Other than that, this build comes with better CPU, better GPU, SSD, faster RAM, better case, better PSU (the NEX units are overpriced and not as high quality as the G2 series are) and is just overall better period.

If you really want an RX 480 8GB for some reason (prices are too high right now to be pitting them against the better GTX 1060's, but an RX 480 4GB would be the step down from my suggested card if you wanted to save a few more bucks), consider getting this one: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/BZJkcf/powercolor-radeon-rx-480-8gb-red-devil-video-card-axrx-480-8gbd5-3dhoc

I'm not going to dictate your peripherals though, as you are going to decide what you want in those areas as they are largely preference based.

i feel an intel fanboy's presence. AMD is decent for gaming. I saw on JayzTwoCentz's video that you can go for AMD for gaming builds. but I do perfer intel cuz BANDWAGON train ftw

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you CAN'T game with AMD. I'm saying skylake will kick AMD's ass in gaming performance when you pit them head to head against AMD's current offerings. Their chips are old and running outdated architecture which makes them much less ideal for single core performance and gaming workloads.

not fanboying... thems just the facts.

si si si, IPC over clock speeds.. but hopefully amd zen will kick intel's ass cuz i want intel chips to get lower cash so i can mass buy 6950x and run a quad CPU setup with 10 1080ti crossfired

Thank you all for your valued input, i know the future proofing is a bad idea as one of you stated, but i just want the ability to add another 200ish dollar card instead of having to go out and buy a 400 dollar card to upgrade if i were to get the 1060, imo it's a good card, but it only works as a single card which disappoints me, the build look beautiful though, you all seem to have a plethora of knowledge, thank you all again,

Also side note is the AMD zen series worth waiting for?

Thank you all so much for your input i looked at all of these, i have looked at a lot of comparisons and I'm guessing i jus assumed AMD would be decent but the upgrade path does not exist, so i went with an intel CPU, but against most of your wishes i still like the AMD graphics cards, i just see them performing better in the future with directx12 and Vulkan being implemented more and more so i have come to 2 builds once again,

I chose the r9 290x because of performance, yes i know its old, but it supports crossfire which could make it very powerful let me know what you guys think
