CPU protection question !

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

Protection against what? If you're just gonna have it lay on your desk, it should be fine. If you're gonna ship it, I would have some padding or bubblewrap for it. It just kinda depends.

I am currently keeping a CPU (i5 3570) wrapped in paper, is it ok for the cpu to stay wrapped in paper or should I search for something better ?

That's fine. I've seen 100s of CPUs in a bucket, wrapping them in paper is more than enough.

I think there's a video of Linus manhandling a CPU. I forget which video (I think it was that MSI Mac Pro looking PC), but man, it made me cringe the entire time he was touching the CPU.
