How the heck do people acquire these two japanese-release only game?

Games: Samurai Warriors 3Z and 2 xtreme legends for the ps3

 

I seen some youtube videos of english users having the games even though it was released in japan-only...Did they buy it off of some website or something?

eBay is your friend or craigslist.

If not, I remember there being a japanese video game shop on the internet somewhere but don't quote me on that.

There are some websites that sell Japanese stuff, like games. They may also know someone in Japan who shipped it to them.

I once saw a video talking about the state of the Japanese gaming market and about how so much stuff is meant for the Japanese market is exported to Europe/USA instead.

 

As for region locking on the PS3, I don't know how that is, but I suppose they can have a Japanese PS3 console too.

I believe so. I don't live in Japan. I am pretty sure these game can be sold online

I remember people change their location to New Zealand whenever a new game releases, because their stores get the game the earliest (because timezones and release dates)

If I remember correctly.  Amazon Japan now ships to the US.  Also there are other various websites that sell/ship from Japan.

You could try play-asia.com but from what I can see on there they don't haveit on PS3.
