xbox 360 controller on pc?

I have a third party xbox 360 controller and was wondering if it was possible to play minecraft with it on pc? If thats possible what about modded minecraft, like modpacks on the ftb launcher? If that works is there a way to make it work with any game i want on steam? I want to play From the Depths but with an xbox 360 controller. Thank you so much!

You can connect an xBox controller to a PC easily, just google the steps you'll need to do.  As for the games, it all depends if you can map the keys and they support the use of game controllers.

If you're going to be playing Minecraft (particularly FTB packs) with a controller, you'll need to download and add to the pack a controller mod for that version of Minecraft the pack is on.

Regular Minecraft (what FTB packs and such are built on) has no native controller support hence the need for a mod to add that support, the Windows 10 version might but don't expect to be able to mod it.
